Nutpakal Ketprasit
Nutpakal Ketprasit was born in Bangkok Thailand in 1990. He completed Bachelor of Sciences (Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences) with Honors from
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. During undergraduate study, he was a research student at Protein-Ligand Engineering and Molecular Biology Laboratory, National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency, Bangkok, Thailand under the supervision of Dr.Chairat Uthaipibull. The project entitled "Genome editing in Plasmodium falciparum using CRISPR-Cas9 system". From the project he got various skills of molecular biology such as DNA isolation and purification, Conventional PCR, Restriction enzyme digestion, Gibson Assembly DNA cloning, Gel electrophoresis, Sanger DNA sequencing and result interpretation.
After he completed bachelor’s degree, he perused his research career by applying to the program in Clinical Hematology Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He got Scholarship from Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Thesis grant from The 90th an niversary of Chulalongkorn University fund (Ratchadaphiseksomphot Endowment Fund) and Overseas research supported by Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
Currently, his research project focusing on the Extracellular Vesicles in Malaria under supervision of Assistant Professor Dr.Duangdao Palasuwan(Nantakomol) and Dr. Valery Combes from University of Technology Sydney, Australia where he was visiting research student. From this project he got skills in Malaria routine culture, Flow Cytometry analysis, RNA extraction, Real Time quantitative PCR, data analysis and Imaging.
